What I Do

Hi, I’m Vani—a San Francisco–based content strategist and senior writer with over 14 years of experience across journalism, digital marketing, and brand communications. I specialize in content strategy, SEO, editorial leadership, and long-form writing, helping organizations create clear, engaging content that connects with audiences and drives growth.

I began my career as a reporter and editor and later led editorial strategy at ParentCircle, a parenting magazine and website with a reach of over 7 million users. Since then, I’ve worked across B2C and B2B content, writing and editing long-form features, thought leadership, case studies, landing pages, newsletters, social content, and SEO-optimized web copy. My work is grounded in clarity, empathy, and a deep understanding of audience needs.

I hold an MSc in Literature and Modernity from the University of Edinburgh and a BA in English from the University of Madras. I’ve lived and worked across India and the UK, and now call California home. When I’m not working, I enjoy baking, poetry, and embroidery.
